The following are the activities that you should do to achieve the goal:

ACTIVITY 1 - BEFORE READING (15 minutes)

Step 1:

Look at the picture:

What activities can you identify? Make a list on the space:

 - Ride a bicycle
- Play tennis
- Rowing the boat
- Play ball

Step 2:

Think about your vacations and answer the question in the space:

- What did you do on vacations?

- I played soccer with my brother and friends, went to study chess,

traveled to Arequipa and watched movies with my brothers.

For example:

- I played basketball with my cousins. I went to… I traveled to… I

watched...

Step 3:

Now, you are going to read a text about activities to do on vacations on the
beach.

- What activities do you think you can do on the beach?

- Have fun in the water
- Fly kites
- Play in the sand

ACTIVITY 2 – READING (30 minutes)

Step 1:

You are going to read about vacation activities to do on an island. Look at

the pictures:

- What places do you think will be in the article?

- I think there are some more visited places such as beaches,
cinemas and zoos.
Step 2:

Read the article “Welcome to San Jordi”. What places are mentioned in the
article?
-Water Zone
-The Wild Zoo
-Film World

Step 3:

Let’s read the text again. Now, pay attention to specific words and answer
the questions in the link https://forms.gle/DfeQAJ86fvKkS99y9.

Step 3:

What activities are interesting in the article?

- Sailing

- Observe the animals

- Watch movies at the cinema

- Shows for children

 ACTIVITY 3 – AFTER THE TEXT (10 minutes)
Step 1:

Remember the objective of the session: Choose a place to go during

vacations.

Think about the three places in the article: the WaterZone, the Film World,
the Wild Zoo. Which place is the most interesting for you? Why?

Follow the model:

- I would like to go to… because...

- I would like to go to the wild zoo because I would like to enter the

educational center to learn more about animals.

Step 2:

Write your short paragraph (2 or 3 sentences) in a document and send it to

your teachers using Google Classroom.
