HEALTH CARE PLAN

BSN 1A - GROUP 2
ADOLESCENCE
Ages 12-19

OVERVIEW
The shift from childhood to adulthood is marked by
adolescence. Generation Z, or Gen Z, is one of the most
vulnerable populations in the country, excelling in self-
directed learning and thriving on technology. Nobody can
deny that adolescents are a significant component of modern
societies in terms of size and population, as well as members
of numerous communities and future parents. As a result, if
they are provided with appropriate health information and
expertise, they will undoubtedly be in the best position to
achieve it. Aside from that, they will be effective champions
for accurate and valid health information, both now and in
the future.
Infectious diseases, malnutrition, accidents, and
sexually transmitted diseases, as well as
cardiovascular ailments and malignancies, are all
risks or issues that adolescents and young people
encounter. These dangers may be the result of
their adolescent lifestyle, cognitive, and behavioral
issues. Mental health issues related to
psychosocial development, adolescent health
education, and unprotected sexual growth
concerns are just a few of the health issues unique
to adolescents.
As a result, we've created a Health Education
program that covers all strategies for developing
and expanding health reserves in order to keep
the scales leaned toward good health. This health
education program helps adolescents obtain
useful health information while also building the
attitudes, beliefs, and practice skills needed to
adopt and sustain healthy practices throughout
their lives.
GOALS &
- Improve the health and
well-being of adolescents

OBJECTIVES - Adolescents' attitudes, beliefs, and

practice skills are strengthened, allowing
them to adopt and maintain healthy
behaviors for the rest of their lives.

- To help the nurse understand and

appropriately respond to major issues
confronting the adolescents. Emphasis is on
Cognitive and Psychosocial development, and
nursing interventions to address complications
to normal development.
REFLECTION
What we have learned in this activity is that
adolescents have different problems in terms of
physical, emotional, social, etc. Because in this stage
they begin to learn and experience different social and
environmental factors that affect their understanding
of themselves and other people. Adolescents are also
prone to mental outbreaks due to the pressure they
encounter in their everyday lives. In that case, they must
learn how to facilitate and care for their mental health.
In this task, we have learned that stress and other
problems that adolescents experience in this stage have a
big impact or effects on their well-being as they grow and
develop. When these problems were didn't solve and
continue until they step into another stage of development,
it may cause bigger problems, especially in their mental
health status. Knowing and learning its effect and how to
avoid or prevent this stress and other problems may help
an adolescent to become better and mentally healthy
through this stage of development.
As we grow older, there are different developmental stages that
every individual experiences. In this group activity, Adolescent is
highlighted and the problems that they experienced or will
experience in cognitive and psychosocial development. An example
of these is the stress and identity crisis that most adolescents
encountered. But every problem always has a solution. So, this
activity stated the solutions that might help the adolescent
experiencing these circumstances. As nursing students, we should
know how to handle our clients and how we can help them. And
when we are already nurses, we can help them to get through their
struggles without harming themselves.
What I have learned about stress is that it can
cause major problems that can be difficult to
deal with, especially in adolescents, and may also
inflict pain and death when ignored completely.
Knowing the root cause of this problem will help
the client drastically in their medications. So
having a caring companion can help the
medications significantly high.
