OK, so there's a back-to-back this weekend, but they're different kinds of back-to-back. On
Saturday night in Seattle (11 pm on Fox Sports 1) first, the Red Bulls play the Galaxy in the
MLS Western Semifinals. On Sunday afternoon in Houston, the Dynamo play the Sounders
in the MLS Western Semifinals. The Red Bulls are up 3-0 in the series and the defending
champs are expected to turn it around. But, let's face it, that hasn't happened for Seattle in this
series; they've never been shut out in 180 minutes, so the Red Bulls will have to tighten up.
We'll see.

A more fitting rivalry, on the women's side, takes place this weekend in New York, where the
Red Stars will try to dispatch the Dash in the semi-finals of the NWSL playoffs at Red Bull
Arena. The Dash, whose home-field advantage is a moat (the Red Bulls won't come) are a
few games away from their first championship appearance, and the Red Stars are the
defending champs, so that should be a fun one.

And there's a real World Cup tension in the college game this weekend. Down in Oregon, the
women's U-20 USMNT team will host Mexico on Friday at 7 pm on FS1, and in College
Station, Texas the Texas A&M men play Mexico on Friday at 7 pm on FS2, for the chance to
go to France to defend their title in the World Cup next summer.
