Instructions

Print the appropriate problem for your child.

Page 1 is generally for 1st or 2nd grade.

Page 2 is generally for 3rd – 5th grade.

Page 3 is also for 3rd -5th grade, but requires more calculations and
targets price comparisons and working within a budgeted amount of
money.

Page 4 allows you to make up your own problem. You may want to
use this to help your child plan his or her own Christmas spending.
Or you may want to make up a problem that relates more to what he
or she is learning in math. You can give them a lot of money to
spend if they are working on subtracting larger numbers. Or you can
have them buy multiples of items to work on multiplication (e.g., 5
candy bars at $1.29 each.)

Once the child completes a subtraction problem, the answer


becomes the first number of the next problem.
