1. Introduction
This manual aims to help you get the latest software programs for your keyboards.

ITEMS TO PREPARE FOR THE UPDATE

Following items are required to perform the update.

1. GO:PIANO88

2. Mac to send the updater to the instrument (macOS 10.14 or later)

3. USB Standard Cable

4. Roland Comm Firmware Updater (packed together with this manual)

5. GO-88P_Vxxx.DAT file (packed together with this manual)

2. Firmware Update
2.1 Launch the Roland Comm Firmware updater.

Note: If you cannot launch this application, please allow apps downloaded from identified developers on

your Mac.

2.2 Open the update file

The pictures below show the update progress of a keyboard of GO:PIANO88.

⚫ Click the “Open” button showed by red box in the picture above.

⚫ Select the update file “GO-88P_Vxxx.DAT”.

⚫ Check the product model and software version.

2.3 Preparation of GO:PIANO88
⚫ Connect your instrument to a PC with a standard USB cable.

Note: Never connect the PC with more than one instrument for each update.

⚫ Make sure the power supply is reliable for the update, and please don’t execute by battery power.

2.4 Enter the Update Mode

⚫ Boot up your GO:PIANO88 by Update Mode.

Take the keyboard GO:PIANO88, press and hold “#1+#2+#3+#4”([A0] + [A#0] + [B0] + [C1]) keys together and

turn on the power, it will enter the update mode.

⚫ When update mode, LEDs turn on of the instruments as below picture shows.

2.5 Click “Refresh” to prepare the connection.
Please confirm that the textbox shows “Device connected.”

2.6 Click “Update” to start.

Note: Do not disconnect the power supply or turn off the instrument during the update!

Note: The progress bar may repeat several times (7 minutes) before the update is finished.

2.7 Finish the update.
⚫ Click “OK” to finish the update if you get the message below.

Note: If you fail to get the above message, please try again:
⚫ Check the selected update file is correct.
⚫ Check the USB connection or try with another USB cable.
⚫ Connect with another USB port on your Mac.

3. Bluetooth Firmware Update
3.1 Preparation
⚫ When online update is finished, disconnect the USB cable. Turn off the power.

3.2 Enter the Update Mode

⚫ Press and hold the keys “#1+#2+#3+#7” ([A0] + [A#0] + [B0] + [D#1]) and turn on the power again. It will

enter Bluetooth Module Online Update Mode.

⚫ The panel LEDs will flash (The update process will take about 50 seconds).

3.3 Finish the update.

When the LEDs stay lit, it indicates Bluetooth Module Update is finished. Please re-boot the device.

Note:
⚫ Close the update tool and restart your instrument, it will operate with the latest programs.
