Visiting local tourist spots is better than travelling abroad

Tourism is used as a weapon for the development focus for many countries. Countries
will require to put in more effort toward their tourism development to sustain
especially the country’s economy. While our country is focusing in the growth of
tourism, we as a traveller should support them. There is a statement that ‘Visiting
local tourist spots is better than travelling abroad’. In my opinion, I totally agree to
this statement because it is our responsible to encourage the local tourist spots and
contribute to the development of our country.

In the other hand, there are some people who are willing to travel abroad rather
than visiting our local tourist spots. They are not aware of the problem than they
might encounter during travelling abroad. They can face language difficulties during
visiting other countries. They also might face increased cost while travelling abroad.
There can be also passport problems to travel abroad as we know the application
process takes more time. Other than that, they also might face dietary issues and
safety issues while travelling abroad especially the elder ones.

So, I personally agree that visiting local tourist spots is better than travelling
abroad. The very first reason is the cost of visiting a local tourist spot is undoubtedly
much lower than what we would pay for a trip to abroad. This is because, when we
travel locally we don’t have to spend money on travel insurance visa, flight tickets
and equipment. We can use that money for fun activities and treat ourselves. We can
spend less time recalculating how much things cost, and we know that we don’t have
to break a bank to enjoy a few days on the road.

The next reason is, there will be no language barrier when we visit local tourist
spots. It will be easy for us to deal, no matter to buy the transportation tickets,
booking hotels, asking for direction or ordering dishes in a restaurant. We can even
travel alone if we travel locally as we understand the language and don’t have to
depend on others. We especially don’t have to conduct all kind of gestures in order to
let people understand what we want to express. As we are familiar to the language we
can make new friends even faster to accompany while travelling since travelling with
new people has much fun in it.

Last but not least, b visiting local tourist spots we can learn the local customs
and culture much better and faster even there are some difference concerning customs
and culture between different parts according to the different climate and geography.
Since we all know that all the parts of the country have interacted for a long time
sharing the culture and created history together. So we wont feel strange about them
even we haven’t been there before. It is much easier for us to recall the knowledge
and get know about our country deeper.

As conclusion, I again agree that visiting local tourist spots is better than
travelling abroad. In future if I plan for my vacation, I will choose travelling in my
own country since it can bring enjoyable vacation with a lot of benefits.
