OMIT: the Pre A1Starters section.

OPTIONAL: pages 35-36-57-58-79-80, The Big Project (1-2-3) and Festivals 1 and 2.

Class Book: It is absolutely essential that students’ listening skills be developed. Therefore,
the CDs should always be used in the exercises which involve listening comprehension. The
book includes videos which are really worth watching.

Activity Book: The Picture Dictionary pages are found at the back of the AB, along with the
accompanying stickers. There’s also an Extra Grammar Practice section which you will find
really useful.

Teacher’s Guide: We strongly recommend the use of the Teacher's Guide. It contains a tour
of a unit which will guide you as to how to deal with the material combining CB and AB;
the course syllabus; step-by-step teaching notes for every lesson in the book, together with
extra ideas; transcripts for all the recordings; answers for all activities; an Ideas Bank with
games and songs and a wordlist containing the core vocabulary and other key language.

There’s a Teacher’s Resource Centre, which you can access using the code at the back of the
Teacher’s Guide, where you can find the tests, videos, extra material and guides to help you
with the course.

Classroom Resource Pack: It contains flashcards, wordcards and a poster.

Reader: We suggest you deal with The Princess and the Frog after the winter holidays. There
are interesting exercises on the Activity Pages throughout the book. We strongly advise you to
use the Audio CD/CD Rom to help your students further develop their listening skills. We
recommend you buy the Teacher’s book, which contains the reader itself, some notes and the
CD/CD Rom.
