The percentage of rented accommodations has almost always been decreasing through the
measured time, which a nice new. In total, it has passed from 77% to 36% in 93 years.

At the start of the chart, in 1918, the percentage of rented accommodations was huge, ^ 77%,
which is pretty bad.

Then, this percentage started to get lower really fast. In 1939, the amount of people that lived
in their own house increased to 32%, almost the double, in relative terms. On the other hand,
^ the next decade, between 1939 and 1953, the percentage of rented houses got stuck, which
doesn’t make a lot of sense looking at the general tendency of the chart.

After that, the increase has been always positive until 2011, with an average of 5/6 % each
year. Instead, between 2001 and 2011, there has been the first decreasement in the last
century. Also, it has been enormous, a 5%.
