1. 2 Danh từ đếm được và không đếm được (Count noun/ Non-count noun)
1.2.1. Danh từ đếm được:
- Là những vật có thể đếm được. 
- Có 2 hình thái số ít và số nhiều,
- Nó thường kết hợp với các từ chỉ số lượng như A/ an/ one/ two, or hundred, etc…
Eg: "There are two books on the table."
"There is an elephant in my car."
1.2.2. Danh từ không đếm được:
- Là những vật không thể đếm được bao gồm:
+ các chất lỏng như water (nước), milk (sữa), beer (bia),…..
+ các lĩnh vực nghiên cứu, các hiện tượng tự nhiên: physics, maths, weather, fog, rain
+ các chất khí: oxygen, smoke, air…
+ các chất rắn: ice, silver, gold, bread….
+ các danh từ trừu tượng như (knowledge, information, weather…).
+ các từ có số lượng nhiều và rất nhỏ như: sugar (đường), salt (muối),
- Không dùng được với số đếm, do đó nó không có hình thái số ít, số nhiều.
- Luôn kết hợp với động từ số ít.

- Giống nhau: Có nghĩa là một vài/ nào
Cùng kết hợp được với danh từ đếm được và không đếm được
- Khác nhau: + Some dùng trong câu khẳng định
dùng trong câu mời, câu đề nghị bắt đầu bằng Would/ Can/ Could
+ Any dùng trong câu nghi vấn (?) và câu phủ định (n’t)
dùng trong câu khẳng định chứa các trạng từ phủ định như: never,
hardly, rarely= seldom, without
1.3. Các quy tắc chuyển từ danh từ số ít sang danh từ số nhiều
a. Có quy tắc
- Thêm es khi danh từ tận cùng bằng “ch, sh, x, s, ss, z, o (trừ từ Photo/ radio)
VD: a box  two boxes, a potato  two potatoes
- Danh từ tận cùng bằng 1 phụ âm + y  i + es
VD: a fly  two flies,
- Danh từ tận cùng bằng fe/f  ves
VD: a knife  knives,
- Các trường hợp còn lại thêm “s”

ADJECTIVES AND ADVERBS

I. TÍNH TỪ
1. Định nghĩa:
Tính từ là từ bổ trợ cho danh từ hoặc đại từ, nó giúp miêu tả các đặc tính của sự vật, hiện tượng
mà danh từ đó đại diện.
2. Phân loại tính từ: Tính từ có thể được phân loại theo vị trí hoặc chức năng:
2.1 Tính từ phân loại theo vị trí:
a. Tính từ đứng trước danh từ
a good pupil (một học sinh giỏi)
a healthy man (một cậu bé khỏe mạnh)
b. Tính từ đứng một mình, hoăc sau các động từ liên kết (linking verbs)
+ Động từ liên kết:
- Quan điểm: seem/ appear (dường như),
- Cảm giác: look (trông có vẻ), sound (nghe có vẻ), smell (có mui), feel (cảm thấy), taste (có vị)
- Thay đôi trạng thái: be, get = become (trở nên), turn, go
VD: As I get older, my hair is starting to turn grey.
- Duy trì trạng thái: stay, remain
2.2. Tính từ tận cùng bằng - ed hoặc - ing
- Tính từ có dạng hiện tại phân từ (V-ing): Chỉ tính chất của người, vật hoặc sự vật.
Chủ ngữ của câu là vật hoặc sự vật.
VD: It’s a boring film.
This is an exciting journey.
- Tính từ có dạng quá khứ phân từ (V-ed): Chỉ cảm xúc, ấn tượng về 1 tính chất nào đó
Chủ ngữ của câu là người
