Mission
The mission of FRI-HE-GO is to be the top main in installing power generators, in a gym
equipment, as spinning exercise bike, as a viable option for saving energy, and develop the
maintains plans for make the world a greener place.
Vision
In 2025 FRI-HE-GO will supply a generator of 45% of all the gyms in Colombia, in order
to reduce the energy consumption, adapting generator and taking advantage of the energy
acquired by mechanical work in the gym equipment’s.
Project: Installation and maintenance of a power generator for spinning
exercise bike
The following project seeks to study the installation of a generator on a spinning stationary
bicycle, simulated installation in a CAD program, where this characteristics, operation and
methods of installation will be illustrated.
The project identifies the spinning bicycles, in Los Libertadores University Foundation
gym, that are in operation actually and are suitable for the project, and the modifications in
order to obtain energy to supply other gym areas. The project is estimated to develop last 4
months.
Saving energy is the goal, and is very important, not only because it means a reduction in
the cost paid monthly, but also the consumption of the resources necessary for the
generation of energy and the fuels used, reducing the emission of polluting gases to the
atmosphere and environmental pollution.
Objectives
General
To install a power generator on a spinning exercise bike, and design the maintain plans.
 To make the design for the operations
 To install generators on spinning bikes, and determinates his maintenance.
 To design a presentation based in CAD. program where the operation of the project
is evidenced.
Resources
The construction of our project will have the following structural conformation:
 Stationary spinning bike
 Power generator
 Source of energy that in turn will function as an energy store.
Activities
The project Will have a duration of four (4) months, starting in February 2022 and death line in
May 2022.

The project had been structured in four job packages detailed next.

1.1 DESIGN ANALYSIS: PRELIMINARY INFORMATION

Sprint 1

Title:

DESIGN ANALYSIS: PRELIMINARY INFORMATION

Main Objective:

The objective of this package is to consider all the research activities, to relate all the
activities necessary to acquire the pertinent information prior to the design and
construction of our project.

Description:

In this Job Package will work the following tasks:

T1.1 general characteristics of the equipment to be used

In this part, the general properties of the equipment that is required to be used will be analyzed,
we will identify their general working times, characterize their materials and previous
information on their maintenance, as well as the specifications provided by the manufacturers.
T1.2 generator installation

Theoretically, we will analyze which generator is the most suitable for our project and the
correct way to install it on our spinnig exercise bike.

T1.3 search for equipment and tools

In this activity the availability of the selected equipment in the market will be considered, this
activity will be based on the properties that each equipment needs.

T1.4 equipment costs

In this part, the research tools will be used to map the short films according to the selected
teams and their availability in the market.

This is the final part of the sprint with all

Deliverables

E1.1. referential framework, conceptual framework

E1.2 installation features.
E1.3 catalog of existing equipment on the market.
E1.4. table of costs according to the brands and type of equipment

1.2. DESIGN ANALYSIS: DESIGN INFORMATION

Sprint 2

Title:

DESIGN ANALYSIS: DESIGN INFORMATION

Main Objective:

The objective of this package is to consider all the real parameters on which our project will
be in operation once it is installed.

Description:
In this Job Package will work the following tasks:

T2.1 identify the operating parameters of the machine

In this activity, a field work will be carried out in which it will be analyzed or investigated which
are the gym machines of the Los Libertadores university that are in operation and under what
conditions they operate, and, in this way, identify what our design should have.

T2.2 design or Model

Depending on the real operating parameters obtained in the field analysis, a prototype will be
designed using a CAD program, or, if there is a project similar to ours, the adjustment to our
project will be made using the same software.

T2.3 installation process

Using a CAD program, the correct way to install the designed product will be analyzed.

T2.4 installation costs

Once the different ways of installing the product have been carried out, a cost analysis of the
implementation of said installation will be carried out.

This is the final part of the sprint with all

Deliverables

E1.1 parameters provided by manufacturers

E1.2 CAD program with the product to be designed
E1.3. CAD program with the installation process
E1.4. installation cost table

1.3. PRODUCT MAINTENANCE

Sprint 3

Title:

PRODUCT MAINTENANCE
Main Objective:

The objective of this package is to consider the correct way to carry out the maintenance
relevant to the designed product.

Description:

In this Job Package will work the following tasks:

T3.2 maintenance design

In this activity mounting process will be design and documented, in order to allow repeat
the mounting in all the other equipment’s to install

T3.2 maintenance design

In this activity you will see the possible ways to carry out maintenance on our machines,
whether they are corrective, preventive or predictive.

T3.3 maintenance costs

According to the selected maintenance, the costs of this will be analyzed in the short and long
ter.

Deliverables

T3.1 Master Maintain Manual

T3.2 Cost maintain table and times

1.1 COST AND ADMINISTRATIVE ANALYSIS

Sprint 4

Title:

COST AND ADMINISTRATIVE ANALYSIS

Main Objective:
The objective of this package is to consider all the administrative activities related to the project,
including the costs and when generating the required documents, as well as all the economic
analysis to calculate projections and variables of an accounting and investment nature required
in the project.

Description:

In this Job Package will work the following tasks:

T4.1 Administrative Activities

In this part develops all the activities of cost estimation and economic concerns, this activity
includes the economic analysis, prospections, return of inversion and economical prospection, in
this part estimates, also, the profit percentage and all the economical labors and prospections
involved into the project

T4.2 Supplier selection

With these activities determinates and select the suppliers, this activity includes the study of
economical proposes, in economical and cost concerns.

T4.3 Mounting Activities

This activity considers the cost of deployment of the project, also include the resources (human,
equipment and tools) necessary to fulfill the project and must include the engineering cost, and
non-previse activities.

T4.4 Maintain Activities

In this part covers all the projections and cost related to maintain activities, as well as personal
required, personal salary prospection, legal cost associated to the job, and equipment needed.
In this part its import to consider the cost of manual and training of the personal, the cost of
personal protection needed and the time estimations and costs based on manuals
