Introduction

he GSIS Wireless Automation System(GWAPS) is a web-based application that runs of the


T following browsers

 Google Chrome (version 43 or higher)


 Mozilla Firefox (version 33.1 or higher)
 Internet Explorer (version 9 or higher)
 Safari (version 6 or higher)

To ensure that GWAPS will work accordingly, this user guide discuss how to update browser to the latest
version and to clear settings that may affect the display of the pages.
Clear Cache and Cookies of Internet Explorer version 11 or higher
1. Open Internet Explorer. Click tools gear icon located at the upper right corner of the browser.

2. Select Internet Options.


3. In the dialog that appears, click on the General Tab and then the button.

4. Make sure to uncheck Preserve Favorites website data and check both Temporary Internet Files

and Cookies then click button.


Clear Cache and Cookies of Google Chrome version 43 or higher
1. Open Google Chrome browser, then click the Chrome menu located at the upper right corner of
the browser.
2. Select More Tools and then Clear browsing data.

3. In the dialog box that appears, tick for the types of information that the user wants to remove.
4. Select the beginning of time to remove everything.

5. Click button.
Clear Cache and Cookies of Mozilla Firefox version 33.1 or higher
1. Open Mozilla Firefox browser and then click the menu button.

2. Select Options.

3. Select the Advanced Panel and then click on the Network Tab.
4. In the Cashed Web Content section, click button.
5. Click button to close the window.

Update Internet Explorer


1. Open Internet Explorer and click Tools Menu.
2. Select Windows Update option.
3. Click Custom button.

4. Click Express button to filter necessary updates and clear potential updates that you can choose.
5. Select the updates related to Internet Explorer. Check them off on the list of potential
updates.

6. Click ‘Review and install updates’ link.


7. Click ‘Install Updates’.

8. Click ‘Restart Now’ for the updates to take effect.

1. Open Internet Explorer then click the icon gear located at the top-right portion of the screen.
And then click Internet options.

2. In the dialog that appears, click on the Advanced Tab and then the button
3. Tick on the checkbox and then click on the button.

1. Open Internet Explorer then click the icon gear located at the top-right portion of the
screen.

2. Select Internet options.

3. In the dialog that appears, click on the Advanced Tab and then the button

1. Open Internet Explorer then click the icon gear located at the top-right portion of the
screen.

2. Select Internet options.

3. In the dialog that appears, click on the Advanced Tab and then the button
4. Tick on the checkbox and then click on the button.
Update Google Chrome
1. Open Google Chrome and click button on the upper right corner of the browser.

2. Select ‘About Google Chrome’.

3. About Google Chrome page will automatically download updates.


4. When the download is finished, click ‘Relaunch’ to install updates.
Update Mozilla Firefox
1. Open Mozilla Firefox and click the button.
2. Click button.
3. Select ‘About Firefox’.
4. A window will open and Firefox will check for updates and download automatically.

5. After downloading the updates, click Restart Firefox to Update to install the updates.

Note: If there are problems encountered with the automatic update, please download and install the
latest Firefox version from http://www/mozilla.org/ for your operating system and language.
Update Safari (Mac)
1. Open the App Store and click Updates.

2. Available updates will be shown in this page. You can choose to update Safari application or
Update All.
3. Updates will be installed automatically after download.
