“Honest Guitar Tricks Review” by Indie HQ is an article made to review a website
named guitartricks.com. Although the writer wrote that it is a review article, in my point of view it is more like an advertisement article because the reviewer did not explain about the website’s features in detail. The review contains too many words which suggest the readers to subscribe to guitartricks.com and too few words that represent the review about the features of the website and how the reviewer's experience when using the website. The article is also inconsistent. Even though the article is entitled “Honest Guitar Tricks Review”, there is a disclosure that says “We are a professional review website that may receive compensation for the products we review.”. With that disclosure, I do not think that is really an honest review. Even so, this article also has several plus points. In this article, the reviewer wrote some pros and cros about the website. The reviewer explained that although the website costs a lot of money, it is worth it because it will give the buyer an amazing guitar lesson experience. This review article also gives the reader a coupon that could be used for a 14 days trial on the website. I think this coupon is a good thing since the reviewer really encouraged the readers to try the website. If I were the reviewer, I would not do a hard sell on my review articles. Instead, I would give so much information about my experience with the website for my readers, including the price and the features in detail. I mean, it is nice to get paid for reviewing a products but just do not make it too obvious.
