provided to the students under KUISP
Special scholarships. Also, the seats are
limited under this scholarship programme,
if the seats are exhausted, the students
shall be given an offer letter of 3500
USD/year.
3. Study in India Scholarships:
Study in India scholarships are provided by
the government of India. For these
scholarships, the student has to apply at
www.studyinindia.gov.in and choose KIIT as
first, second and third choice to increase
their chances of getting a full scholarship to
study at KIIT.
There will be an online examination
conducted by the Study in India team to
shortlist the students for the scholarship.
The exam is purely online and can be taken
on a laptop/desktop from anywhere where
there is a good internet connection, and
where the system has a web camera.
Once the student is qualified through the
entrance examination, he/she will be
notified by mail and he/she will have 3-5
days to accept the offer. If the student fails
to do so, his/her scholarship will not be
considered by the Study in India team.
Once the scholarship is confirmed by both
the student and the university, the student
can travel to India and start his education at
KIIT.
All courses can be offered under this
scholarship, but the scholarship covers only
3 years of education. So, if a student gets a
full scholarship in a 3 years course, he won’t
have to pay anything to the university.
However, if the course duration is 4 years
and the student gets the full scholarship, he
will have to pay for 1 year and 3 years will
be covered by the Study in India
scholarship.
The following would be covered if the
student is selected under KUISP Special
Scholarships:
• Food (non veg food are served in all
meals at KIIT)
• Accommodation
• Tuition Fees
• Laptop (a high-end laptop which costs
more than 1300 USD in the market)
• Examination Fees
• Books
• Examination Fees
• Registration Fees
• Wifi in the campus
The things which are not covered in the
package are:
• Personal Expenses
• Visa and Flight Expenses
• Health Insurance (ranges from 35 to 50
USD/year)

Though the Study in India scholarship is a

full scholarship, there are a few things
which you should keep in mind:
• The seats are very less and available for
all students from all over the world, so
there is way too much competition in the
entrance examination and the chances of
getting the full scholarship are 100:1 (For
every 100 students, one scholarship will be
awarded)
• There is too much delay in the process,
if you are lucky, the student might get the
admission by August end under the
scholarship. If you do not get the
scholarship, your entire year is wasted as
the intake ends in August end
• Study in India is a government
programm, so everything depends on the
government policies which is always a bad
thing
• Entrance examination is tough
compared to the level the students are
exposed to. Also, it requires a high-end
laptop/desktop to appear for the exams
