Pablo Neruda was a Chilean poet-diplomat and also politician.

His real name was Ricardo

Eliezer Neftalí Reyes y Basoalto. He lived between 1904 and 1973 and won a Nobel Prize in 1971.

He started writing poems at the very young age of 10. Gabriel Garcia Marquez called Neruda
"the greatest poet of the 20th century in any language".Pablo Neruda is considered to have
developed his poetry in four main directions: love poetry including the "Twenty Love Poems"
collection, material poetry of acclaimed books like "Residence on Earth", epic poetry "Canto
General", and poetry of common, everyday things of which the "Elementary Odes" is the most
famous example. Pablo Neruda's most notable work that I prefer is the poem "Every Day You Play".
This poem, in my opinion, is one of the most romantic poems out of his work and the final line of the
embodies the poem's whole romantic idea. At the beginning of the poem, the artist exposes the
good qualities of love and his lover. The first two stanzas offer the readers a whole picture of how
unique and irreplaceable the person he fell so deeply for is.

Pablo created the beautiful image of the woman whom he idolizes and he even induced the
idea of women and God being equally powerful. The iconic line that demonstrates Pablo Neruda's
worshipful imagery of women consists in "you are like nobody since I love you". The following verses
reveal a storm that may be an interpretation of the love's separation. All of the storm's components
suggest grief and sadness, as the artist's love for the unique woman dissolves, while she might show
her true colors while enduring the bad times "the rain takes off her clothes". The fifth stanza reveals
Eruda's fear of losing his love once and for all and asks her to "not run away". The sixth strophe
shows that even if the love butterflies were slaughtered, the author is still in love and he compares
the woman's mouth to a plum that he would like to eat into.

The final refrain also includes the poem's most iconic verse, that, in my opinion, suggests the
fact that the love each has for the other will unfold into creating a new life.

The poem is a wonderful love story, filled with great messages and the images add different
nuances to the interesting and thought-provoking love poem.
