Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus

True to its name, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is a premium phablet that curves
on the edges and bended with rounded corners. Built with glossy metal
frame and Corning Gorilla Glass 4, it is lighter and thinner at 153 grams and
6.9mm despite its size dimensions of 6.08 x 2.98 inches.

The 7000 series aluminum that makes up its chassis, according to Samsung,
is a lot more times stronger and immune to scratches.

It is of course slightly bigger than Galaxy S6 Edge, maximizing the

multitouch screen with 5.7-inch of super AMOLED display. It has a high-end
QHD resolution of 2560x1440 pixels and 518-ppi pixel density.

The 16Mp rear camera with f1.9 aperture alone makes it one of the top
performing cameras in android phones. With the optical image stabilizer
(OIS) and an auto-HDR that improves photos in an instant, it has scored up
two notches.

With its dual video-recording technology, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus can shoot
4K ultra HD video. The 5Mp/f1.9 front camera likewise has the auto-HDR
and dual-video call feature.

The S6 Edge Plus comes with simpler and less cluttered TouchWiz UX touch
interface. As traditionally set in S6 lineup, all pre-loaded apps have been
unified through the Galaxy Apps to save built-in storage.

It comes with 32GB or 64GB of internal memory – both with 4GB RAM – but
no more than that. Having no 128GB option is one of its shortcomings
because there is no dedicated microSD slot in the S6 lineup. Although it is a
dual-SIM smartphone, you may not be able to insert a microSD in the SIM
card slot like other android smartphones because it is compatible only with
nano-SIMs.

Released in 2015, it is pre-installed with “Lollipop” Android 5.1.1. Starting

2017, a Nougat upgrade is available for the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.
