To all the Member Banks and LDMs in the State of Tamil Nadu
IMPORTANT
Madam/ Dear Sir
In view of the above, the following BCP shall be implemented in the banks from
28-06-2021 to 04-07-2021:
Category 1district:
In the following districts viz., Coimbatore, The Nilgiris, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Karur,
Namakkal, Tanjore, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam and Myladuthurai bank branches
shall function
With 50% staff members on rotation basis.
Business Hours of the branches shall continue to be from 10.00 AM to 2.00
PM. Working hours of branches shall be made from 10.00 AM to 4.00 PM.
Administrative offices and other back offices shall function as per normal
working hours with 50% staff members on rotation basis.
Bank Branches shall provide the following essential services viz.,
a) Cash transaction (Accepting deposits, cash withdrawals)
b) Remittances NEFT, RTGS etc.
c) Govt Business
d) Clearing of cheques
e) Any other services as deemed fit by the Branch may also be provided.
Branches/Administrative offices functioning in the areas declared as
containment Zones shall be guided by the instructions issued in this regard
from the appropriate authority in the Districts.
Where ever possible cluster based functioning of branches in consultation
with the local authority shall be adopted.
Category 2 & 3 districts:
In the remaining 27 districts the bank branches:
Shall function with 100% staff members.
Business hours shall be from 10.00 AM to 04.00 PM and working hours shall
be from 10.00 AM to 05.00 PM rendering usual services.
Administrative offices and other back offices shall function under normal
working hours with 100% staff members.
General Guidelines:
Aadhaar Enrollment Centers shall continue to function by following all
stipulated COVID protocols envisaged by the Central and State
Government from time to time.
Banks to ensure that all alternate delivery channels like bank
ATMs/CDM/Cash recyclers shall be kept functional at all times. Similarly,
Business Correspondents services shall also be fully functional to cater to the
needs of public esp. at the rural areas.
Only online meetings/trainings programs to be conducted. Physical
Meetings should be reduced to the extent possible so that large
congregation/assembly of people is avoided.
Member Banks to ensure that their branches are sanitized at regular
intervals and hand sanitizers, soaps etc. are made available at the
branches at all times for use by the customers.
Member banks are requested to educate and encourage their customers
to make use of Alternate Delivery Channels/opt for digital transactions.
All other procedures to contain the spread of COVID 19 as were advised in
our earlier communications like use of face mask, washing of hands at
regular intervals, maintaining social distancing etc. shall be strictly adhered
to.
