ENGLISH, Paper-VIII (Restoration & Augustan Periods); SEM-VI: (2021-22)

T Y B A students studying Restoration &Augustan Periods, Literary Era-II, Paper-VIII,

have to submit an assignment, being mandatory part of internal assessment, as per following:

1. Study, research, and write a detailed note on the origin and growth of Novel, as a
literary form, in the 18th century and its overall impact on the literature of
the Augustan Age with special reference to any one of the novels (other than Joseph
Andrews) relating to Restoration & Augustan Periods.

1. You are tasked with the responsibility of interviewing one of the

celebrated Restoration or Augustan Age Poets. Draft the script of the interview in a
way that the interview gives insights into his or her notable collection of works, the
significant themes, the imagery, and any other important aspect of his or her Poetry.

N.B.:

i. Students should prepare the assignment in MS Word Document and convert it in

Portable Document Format.
ii. Assignments should contain the cover page endorsed with Heading, Name of the
Subject, Name of the Student, Date of Submission, Roll No, Class, and Topics
selected.
iii. Assignment can be prepared with Times Roman Font, in Font Size 12 or 14.
iv. The assignments should be submitted on or before 30th March 2022 to Mr. L G More
v. Students should send their assignments in prescribed format to the TYBA English
Paper-VII WhatsApp group.
