The symmetrical and compact planning is adopted to ensure better stability in building. Concrete is used as a building
material for its potential to protect against natural disaster and resistance against fire.
The sewage connections are concealed in the exterior ducts, which are connected to the main sewer line.
2 BHK Plan Layout
The fire escape is provided on the exterior wall directly open up on the ground floor, consists of fire staircase and lift
protected by fire retardant door.
Set of Shear walls (highlighted in red) are provided parallelly on the opposite sides for maximum safety.
Additional ties are added with reduced spacing in columns for its ductility (Figure: Elevation showing reinforcing steel).

The Laurie Baker exposure programme aims to share knowledge on alternative techniques in architecture and construction of buildings, techniques that are
based on green habitat and affordable, environment friendly and aesthetically appealing principles. These include use of bamboo, mud, bricks, granites and
recycling of used building materials. Architectural designs suited to given climatic conditions, optional use of natural lighting and ventilation are also part of the
training programme.
