Dear Ms. Matilde Vecchioni,

With the utmost eagerness, I want to express my interest & passion for the Graduate Professional
Program at United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research. As someone who is passionate
about, policy and historical research, my skills and cultural context i.e. me being an Indian will
be an unique addition to the team.

As you will find on my CV, I have had a variety of experiences with many different roles of
internship from my time at Sansthanam Abhaydanam and other roles. I am looking to make
the next step in my career by leveraging nuclear policy research, research on test ban
conventions and other treaties that further the cause of disarmament. I am also taking steps
towards community education and engagement towards the disastrous effects of nuclear weapons
and the need to create a new order of world peace and stability.

As a Research intern, I can immediately bring the following qualities to the team:

Cultural context and sound research techniques : Being educated in the Research
Methodologies (studied as a minor) during my graduation, I can bring in sound research and
brainstorming techniques which can steer the team to a more precise and multi-disciplinary
research.

Coordination and management : With my time at Amity University, I have studies various
minors like History of Nuclear Diplomacy, Professional Business Ethics, Behavioral Sciences
and so on. These will help me to guide the team in these areas and to conduct a multi-
disciplinary research.

While my resume provides a quick summary of my experiences, I hope to have the opportunity
to share how I can bring value to your company’s needs.

Sincerely,

Avisek Sil
