Science Fair Reflection - to be able to utilize Google sheets to display

data collected from a science project

Basing the skills off of the presentation itself, poses very little difficulty especially if they
obtained mastery skills from the previous projects. There are numerous templates
online to suit the design of the project, hence my science objects in my science
presentation. Basing the hurdles off of the Mentos Explosion, the biggest hurdle was
creating the tube that held seven Mentos in it. I had to create multiple tubes to ensure
that the Mentos could slide out and not get jammed half way through. It felt as though I
was working through a time crunch between the explosion and all the Mentos getting
out. I also wanted to ensure that I kept everything consistent between the different
Cokes. I wanted to ensure none of them were shaken or previously opened as well as
the same temperature.

Standard 1.5.b - Students collect data or identify relevant data sets, use digital tools to
analyze them, and represent data in various ways to facilitate problem-solving and
decision making

Basing this off of the presentation, students in higher grade levels can utilize this in
science and math classes. Using skills obtained from Google Sheets, students can
input their data that can come from science projects or surveys. Using a slides
presentation, it can allow students to format things in an aesthetic and organized way
that presents the steps taken for their data. I can see elementary students viewing a
presentation like this, however, I do not expect them to be able to formulate a whole
slide presentation especially if they are younger than fifth grade students.
