Purpose

You have been selected to participate in this study, it is important that you understand why

the research is being conducted. We want to understand and to know the experiences of the students

who stop studying, we want to know what are the transition of life from being a student to drop out.

We want to know the reason of them and understand it. We are hoping that you can help us by telling

us what you know in regards with our topic in general. We also want to understand the experiences

that lead to an individual’s decision to stay in school or drop out.

Type of Research Intervention

This study will use interviews with each participants for up to 1 hour. This interview will be

recorded and transcribed.

Participant Selection

You have been selected to participate in this study because we feel that your experience can

contribute much to our understanding.

Voluntary Participation

Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. Even after beginning this study, you

may quit at any time with no implications to you whatsoever.

Benefits

There will be no direct benefit for you for taking part in this study. However, your answers

may help us learn more about the students’ experiences who stop studying. It is hoped that the

results of this study can be used to better understand the lived experience of students who stop

studying. It is also hoped that the knowledge gained from this study will benefit future students who

plan to stop studying.
