Self-concept

Self-concept is an individual’s overall insight of him/herself so this is a reflection on one’s own

self. In brief and self- concept is one’s self-identity. Self-concept refers to the detailed idea about
who one is. Some people have strong self-concepts while some don’t. Therefore self-concept is

Self-esteem

Self-esteem is the individual’s perception of his or her own worth. It describes the level of how
much one values their own self and self-esteem always includes a certain degree of evaluation in
which one may have either a positive or a negative view of ourselves. There are two facts related
to self-esteem as high self-esteem and low self-esteem.

Examples:

 I feel good that I’m a good poet.
 I feel better after reading a good book.
