If you are looking for a way to practice subitizing (seeing
numbers in different ways) then this is the perfect resource
for you!
I made this for my Kindergarten Title Math group, but it
could also be used very easily in a general classroom of
Preschool, Kindergarten, or 1st grade, as well as any other
remedial/therapy program.
You may use this for numbers 0-10.
Pencils (regular or colored)work best for this project.
Assign each student a number.
o You may want to focus on the same number you are
working on, or use different numbers as review or
remediation.
Show the example page to your students or explain to
them where each type of number form goes on the
snowman.
When students are done, you can encourage them to do
any or all of the following extras with their number as they
wait:
o Draw snowballs at the bottom of the picture.
o Draw snowflakes in the sky.
o Draw fingers on the snowman’s hand.
