• A piece of cardboard
• A paperclip
• A pen or pencil to act as a pivot
• A spinner template (see below)
1. Go to wordwall.net and create a spinner wheel with the target questions you wantyour
students to discuss or use mine (see link above).
2. Teacher spins the wheel on the interactive whiteboard or invite students to spin thewheel.
3. Students in pairs ask and answer the question on the Wheel. They have 1 minute totalk about
the question and use the target language.
4. Spin the wheel again. Repeat until all questions have been answered.
Note: Alternatively, you could get the students to create their own spinners (see Templateand
Instructions below)

Instructions
1. Write the questions or the topics your teacher dictates to you in the spinner sections
2. Cut out your spinner
3. Stick your spinner onto a piece of card
4. Carefully unfold the long ‘arm’ of the paperclip and place the tip of your pen or pencilthrough
the loop in the clip and onto the centre of your spinner
5. Flick the long end of the paperclip and play “Spin ‘n’ Speak”
6. Learn and Have Fun!
