3. SYNOPSIS:
Forensic accounting or Financial forensics is a specialty practice area of accounting that
describes engagements that result from actual or anticipated disputes or litigation. Forensic
accounting has seen some tremendous heights as there is no doubt that in the rapidly growing
economy of today this filed has now become one of the most striking ones. Speakers will
present the discussions and overview relating to forensic accounting strategy to detect fraud,
followed by the forensic accounting tools and techniques and fraud investigation techniques.
Forensic accounting and fraud investigation methodologies are different from internal and
external auditing. The need for the forensic accountant in Malaysian Public Sector is highly
needed to strengthen the transparency and accountability.
