Dear Aspiring Accountants

Invitation to Virtual Event – Charting a Path to Success in Accountancy: Perspectives

from the Next Generation of Leaders

We are pleased to invite you to a Virtual Event entitled “Charting a Path to Success in
Accountancy: Perspectives from the Next Generation of Leaders”.

In recent years, there have been concerns that accountancy profession would not be
future relevant because of numerous changes in technology such as automation and
the development of artificial intelligence (AI) as well as how the world is expected to
work in future. However, industry experts are of the opinion that the profession
continues to evolve with the times and new technologies are changing the way
accountants work. With the increased use of automation and AI, accountants are now
able to automate routine tasks, allowing them to spend more time carrying out higher-
level analysis to deliver business insights for decision-making. As a result, expert
advice from accountants remains necessary.

A career in accountancy provides the door to a world of opportunities where valuable

skills in financial reporting, analysis and advisory services can be acquired and
enhanced to enable one to be a trusted advisor to businesses and organisations. From
transformational accounting practices to new ways of working in the wake of the
pandemic, accountancy is going to be exciting in 2023 and beyond. This event will
showcase young talents in the field of accountancy who will be sharing their journey
with accountancy, their view of the continued relevancy and value proposition of the
accountancy profession, how they embrace change, handle diversity and are
committed to leading change in their organisation and in their career.
