BIOGRAPHY O F BARANGAY BASUD

Barangay Basud is one of the población barangay of Tabaco City. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was
2,688. This represented 1.91% of the total population of Tabaco. The household population of Basud in the 2015 Census was
2,561 broken down into 455 households or an average of 5.63 members per household.

The population of Basud fell from 2,703 in 1990 to 2,688 in 2020, a decrease of 15 people over the course of 30 years. The
latest census figures in 2020 denote a positive growth rate of 1.02%, or an increase of 127 people, from the previous
population of 2,561 in 2015.

Basud is situated at approximately 13.3550, 123.7283, in the island of Luzon. Elevation at these coordinates is estimated at
13.1 meters or 43.0 feet above mean sea level. Surrounded by Brgy. Cobo on the north, Brgy. San Juan on south, Brgy.
Baranghawon on the West and Barangay Divino Rostro on the east.

Being one of the población barangay in Tabaco City, the main establishments such as malls, fast food chains, hotels, bars and
others were located in this barangay making number three (3) in the Real Property Tax (RPT) Share in the City of Love. This
advantage enticed capitalists and entrepreneurs to engage in business, trading, and commerce which eventually, some of
them opted to stay and live together with their families in Barangay Basud.
