EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR THE CONDITION
SURVEY OF ALL BRIDGES AND MAJOR CULVERTS ON THE CORE ROAD NETWORK (CRN)
IN ZAMBIA AND UPDATING THE BRIDGE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (BMS)

The Republic of Zambia has received financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB) toward the
cost of the Chinsali – Nakonde Road Rehabilitation Project (North – South Corridor) and intends to apply
part of the agreed amount for this loan to payments under the contract for Consultancy Services for the
Condition Survey of all Bridges and major Culverts on the Core Road Network (CRN) in Zambia and updating
the Bridge Management System (BMS).

The primary objective of this assignment is to facilitate the collection of bridge and culvert condition data and
update the Bridge Management System inventory which will provide a clear roadmap for the management
of bridges and drainage infrastructure on the CRN.

RDA now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested
consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures,
description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among
staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with
the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants” [May 2008 edition
revised in July 2012], which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.

17:00 hours).

Expressions of Interest must be delivered to the address below by Friday February 18 2022 at
10:00 hours in an envelope clearly marked “Consultancy Services for the Condition Survey of all
Bridges and major Culverts on the Core Road Network (CRN) in Zambia and updating the Bridge
Management System (BMS)”.
