(b) Describe the administration of the Sokoto Caliphate under Uthuman Dan Fodio.

7. Account for the success of the Mecana Jihads in West Africa.

8. Assess the role played by Al-Haji Umar of the Tijariyya fraternity in the Islamic
movement in West Africa.
