This type of valve has been devised in order to avoid a fluid backflow without energy requirements nor maintenance in a piping
system or in a drainage canal leading to the sea or to a basin . Thanks to their virtually unlimited lifetime , total quietness and
minimal pressure losses , non return valves are becoming more and more widely used in industrial applications and public works .
Non return valves can operate in critical conditions where solid or abrasive rubbles are present in sewage sludges or in sand ( for
example in underwater sewage pipe outlets ) . The sleeve provides maximum flow with a minimum pressure drop across the valve at
all times , thus avoiding fluid and gas stagnation in piping systems : a few centimetres of fluid are sufficient to trigger outflow
through the valve . Animals are also prevented from getting into the sewage system . Non return valves are ideal in marine
applications , both underwater and on the shore and in all those applications where salty water backflow preventers are required

 FEMALE SLEEVE CPO SERIES CHECK VALVES

ORDERING SPECIFICATIONS - Non return valve designed to operate under fluid pressure with female
sleeve end to slip over outside ends of a discharge pipe ( alternatively , a flanged series is also available ) .
The intake end of the valve must be of appropriate diameter in order to be fitted on the discharge pipe end
and the other end must have a “duckbill” sleeve to allow only outward fluid flow . The flexible body must
be made of fabric reinforced rubber having a EPDM coating to prevent the deteriorating action of UV rays
from the sun ( other types of rubbers are available ) . The valve must have stainless steel clamps to secure it
around pipe ends .

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS : inlet and outlet of in-line flap valve have male connections and can be installed on any pipeline tanks to MSC
coupling
1) cut the pipe to a length equal to the valve +20mm
2) mark the pipe with a line corresponding to half of the length of the fitting
3) determine the flux direction
4) place the valve and slide the MSC couplings in position onto the marking on the pipe
5) tighten the steel bands of the MSC coupling

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS : series “MULTI NB” flap valves has a UNI

ISO PN10 flanged end or standard end to be placed on a vertical wall
1) Place the valve against the wall , centre it and mark the holes on the wall
2) Drill the wall and the flap if it’s necessary
3) Position the valve again and secure it with screw anchors
To secure the valve on a UNI ISO PN10 flange : centre the valve and screw the bolts

 PERIPHERAL DRIVE CIRCULAR SCRAPER

It is installed on medium and large size treatment plants and

consists of a mobile girder used as walkway (1), a lateral traction
trolley, a control unit (2), a gear motor, a slewing ring unit, a
central cylinder defining the flocculation compartment (3), a
logarithmic airfoil bottom scraper blade (4), a scum box, a
skimming blade (6), a peripheral deflector (7) and a notch weir (8).
The control unit, placed at the periphery, drives the walkways
around a central axis. The presence of a suitable central recycle
zone and of the flocculation compartment allows the adequate
coagulation and flocculation of the water which completes the
clarification in the most external area. The sludge scraper blades
remove the sludge precipitated on the sloping bottom of the tank
and gather it into a toroidal ditch wherefrom it will be removed.
The system, consisting of skimming blade, scum baffles and scum
box, allows the removal of any floating materials. The protection
against overloads is carried out by an adjustable dynamometric
torque limit switch complete with alarm signaling device is
required.

The “Rotary drum filter” allows a water filtration removing debris on the canal waters, civil and industrial installations;
the water passes through the wire coming out of the purified filter. The sediments deposited in the drum are removed by
a stream of clean water through a conveyor and then collected.
