ICND2 Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices 200-105 Exam

Overview of the Course


200-105 Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices (ICND2) is a certificate level exam that leads to CCNA
routing and switching certification. This exam assesses the skills and knowledge of the candidate regarding
IPv4 and IPv6 routing technologies, LAN switching technologies, and WAN technologies. Moreover, the skills
related to infrastructure maintenance and services, troubleshooting networking issues and device
management are also tested. After getting this certificate, the professionals get the basic knowledge of CCNA
routing and switching and will be able to solve the problems related to LAN switching technologies, WAN
technologies, infrastructure maintenance, infrastructure services and routing technologies.
General Information about the Exam
ICND2 200-105 associate level exam consists of 45-55 questions and each candidate is given 90 minutes to
answer these questions. It is available in two languages that are Japanese and English. The topics that must be
prepared by the individual includes describing basic QoS concepts, arranging and verifying the basic HSRP,
configuring and verifying access list for traffic filtering, verification of ACLs using analysis tool named as the
APIC-EM Path, device management description using AAA, troubleshooting basic layer 3 connectivity issues,
configuration of device monitoring protocols, describing the network programmability in network architecture
of the enterprise, and troubleshooting network connectivity using ICMP echo-based IP SLA, troubleshoot IP
connectivity, WAN components and functions, implementing network security, new technologies effect on
network evolution, implementation of device management, and Configuration and troubleshooting of EIGRP in
IPv4 and IPv6. Other topics that are likely to be included in the exam are given below and the percentage in
front of each topic relates its importance for examination purpose. However, these topics or their ratios can
be changed anytime by Cisco without any notice.

describing WAN access connectivity and topology option, implementing local area networks, configuring and
verifying MLPPP and PPP on WAN interfaces, implementing basic IPv6 connectivity, configuring and
troubleshooting GRE tunnel connectivity, implementing internet connectivity, comparison of link-state and
distance vector routing protocols and all those topics that are important for examination purpose.
Prerequisites
It is essential for the candidates to have the knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting Inter-VLAN routing
Implementing basic IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity, comparison of exterior and interior routing protocols,
securing the network areas, configure, troubleshoot, and verify STP protocols, implementing local area
networks, configure, troubleshoot, and verify VLANs spanning multiple switches, implementing WAN
technologies and LAN technologies, configure and troubleshoot single area and multi-area OSPFv2 for IPv4
