Group assignment-1 Guidelines

1. Assignment has to be completed as a group activity. Groups will be formed by respective faculty
for their division.
2. Student group needs to select a multi-product company.
3. Collect information about the product portfolio of the selected company.
4. Discuss in detail the product mix/ width of the selected company, along with the length and
depth of various product lines (at least 4-5 product lines)
5. Select 4-5 different products of the selected company. Analyze the following for these products:
 Product attributes and product levels
 Compare the product attributes with that of competitors’ products in the same
product category.
 Brand differentiation and positioning
 Brand Elements and Brand Naming Strategy

6. Discuss examples of brand extensions, brand rejuvenation, brand relaunch, packaging


innovation, brand acquisition etc. employed by the organization to keep the brand live and
contemporary.

The detailed analysis of the above points is required to be done by the students.

The report should be in pdf format. General guidelines for report is as given below:

a. The report should be of 25-30 pages approximately.


b. A Powerpoint presentation based on the report has also to be submitted. The duration of
the presentation should be of 20-25 minutes.
c. The structure of the report will be as mentioned above.
d. Soft copy of the report and presentation should be mailed to the course faculty latest by
24th July, 2022, 8.30 am. The hard copy of the report may be submitted to the course
faculty in the first session/tutorial after the soft copy deadline.
e. Format of title page is given at the end of this document.
f. Report must include the following without fail:
a. Learnings from the Assignment
b. References, if any (in APA format)
g. Font size should be 14 for headings and 12 for body text. Line spacing should be 1.5. Font
should be Times new Roman.
h. All sources should be duly acknowledged and mentioned in the report.
i. The assessment criteria will be the originality, understanding of the concept and its
application & analysis.
