Different salt crystal have different geometrical shape

2. Salt crystal have flat surface, straight edges, sharp angle
3. Salt crystal have fixed angle between two adjacent surfaces
4. Salt crystal has a fixed geometrical shape
5. Salt crystal with same substances have same geometrical shape, but different size

1. 25 cm3 of sodium hydroxide solution is pipetted and transferred to a conical flask.

2. A few drops of phenolphthalein is added into the conical flask and it is shaken well
3. A burette is filled with HCI
4. The initial reading is recorded
5. The HCI is added drop by drop while the conical flask is swirled
6. The adding of HCI is stopped when the pink solution turns colourless
7. The final reading is recorded
8. The exact volume of sulphuric acid to neurtalise 25cm3 sodium hydroxide solution is calculated
9. The experiment is repeated by adding the volume of sulphuric acid into 25 cm3 of sodium
hydroxide solution without adding any phenolphthalein
10. The solution is poured into an evaporating dish
11. The solution is heated until it become saturated
12. The solution is cooled down to room temperature for crystallization occur
13. The crystal is filtered to obtain a pure salt crystal
14. The crystal is rinsed with a small amount of water
15. The crystal is dried with two pieces of filter paper

1. 25 cm3 of 1.0 moldm-3 hydrochloric acid is measured and poured into a beaker
2. The hydrochloric acid is heated gently
3. Magnesium powder is added a little at time while stirring the mixture with glass rod
4. Add the magnesium powder continuously until the magnesium powder no longer dissolved
5. The mixture is filtered to remove the excess magnesium powder
6. The filtrate is poured into an evaporating dish\
7. The solution is heated until it become saturated
8. The solution is then cool down to room temperature for crystallization to occur
9. The solution is filtered to obtain a pure salt crystal
10. The solution os rinsed with a small amount of water
11. The solution is dried with two pieces of filter paper

1. The copper sulphate crystal is put into a beaker

2. 25cm3 distilled water is measured and poured inside the beaker
3. The mixture is heated and stirred
4. Evaporating -> crystallization -> filtration -> rinsing -> dried
1. 25 cm3 of 1.0 mold m-3 of lead nitrate is poured into a beaker
2. 25 cm3 of 1.0 moldm-3 of potassium iodide is poured into a beaker
3. The mixture is stirred with a glass rod
4. A precipitate will formed
5. Filtration -> rinse -> dried
