RENAISSANCE ART AND ARTWORK BY MOST FAMOUS ARTISTS

The Renaissance was the period in Europe between the 14th and 17th
centuries when there was a surge of interest in and production of art and
literature. "Renaissance art" describes the style of art that came out of this
period. ... In Old French renaissance means "rebirth."
Some of the most famous and groundbreaking Renaissance artist include:
FILIPPO BRUNELLESCHI(1377-1446):- Considered to be a founding
fathers of Renaissance architecture, was an Italian architect and designer,
and is now recognised to be the first modern engineer, planner and sole
construction supervisor. He is most famous for "Dome of Florence
Cathedral ,Madonna with child,etc."
DONATELLO(1386-1466):- Italian sculptor celebrated for life like
sculptures like "David" commissioned by the Medici family and "The feast
of herod" is a bronze sculpture and noted for donatello's use of perspective.
He apparently received his early artistic training in goldsmith's workshop.
LEONARDO DA VINCI(1452-1519):- Italian painter, architect, inventor and
"Renaissance Man" responsible for painting "The Mona Lisa" and "The Last
Supper". He was first to create city map, worked on military equipments
and on natural vegetation.
MICHELANGELLO(1483-1520):- Italian sculptor, painter and architect who
carved "David and Pieta" before age of 30 and painted the scenes from
Genesis on the ceilings of the Sistine Chapel in Rome which took
approximately four years to complete.
RAPHEL(1483-1520):- Italian painter who learned from Da Vinci and
Michelangelo. Best known for his painting of "Madonna" and "The school of
Athens". He paint fresco "The Last Judgement" on the the altar wall of the
"Sistine Chapel".
