Previous researches have also explained the relationship among lean strategy of supply chain and

resilience in the supply chain (Huang et al., 2002). Lean strategy focuses towards the cost
reduction so the inventory is managed effectively and efficiently in the process of supply chain.
Yusuf et al., (2004) stated that agile strategy is useful for enhancing the supply chain ability and
resilience so that the changes can be handled quickly according to the demands of the customers.
Lee (2004) said that the agile strategy of supply chain allows the process to show quick response
towards the short-term customer changes according to their demands. It also allows the focal
organization to deal with the uncertainty more efficiently according to the market condition. The
agile strategy helps supply chain in maintaining buffer of high capacity so that it can easily deal
with the volatile market and its demands t (Qi et al., 2009). The resilience of supply change is
effectively manage with lean and agile strategy and the supply chain responsiveness can also be
made better and can be increased by lean and agile strategy of the supply chain. The agility is
more responsible towards the responsiveness because of the up-to-date balance data along with
short-term projected forecast.
