MSP 1+1 hot standby protection method

The "Microwave communication" protection switching system employs the MSP 1+1 hot
standby protection mechanism. This switching protection approach provides a backup option
to prevent service disruptions in the event of equipment failure. Furthermore, it offers
complete switching protection for each and every radio channel. Each radio channel is
safeguarded by having its own dedicated backup channel. The signal power is separated and
sent to the "working" and "standby" microwave channels by the head-end bridge. On the
other hand, an IF switch accomplishes the function of passing the IF signal at the same time.

2. MSP 1+N cold standby protection method

MSP 1+N cold standby is a protection mechanism in which one system serves as a backup
for another identical primary system. There is a failure in the primary identical system, thus
the backup system is in use.

3. MS-USHR

MS-USHR is a head-end and tail-end bridge topology multiplex section unidirectional self-
healing ring technique of protection. Method traffic can be routed in both ways on the ring on
different fibres with this protection. The receiver will choose the signal with the best
communication capabilities.

4. MS-BSHR

MS-BSHR is a bidirectional self-healing ring protection technology that is used in SONET or

SDH rings to heal the communication signal in both directions. This form of protection
employs two bidirectional wires. One bidirectional ring is utilized to handle traffic, while the
other bidirectional ring is used for safety. When a communication system failure occurs,
traffic is transferred from the working ring to the reserved ring.

5. SNCP page

In the telecommunications network, SNCP is a protective mechanism. It's a per-path

protection mechanism based on the "Congruent Sending Selective Receive" idea. This means
that the signal may be broadcast on both sides of the network, but it can only be received
where the signal is strongest. The receiver recognizes signal deterioration when the working
way for receiving the signal is severed, and the receiver on the alternate path becomes active.
The data signal is sent in a ring configuration through two distinct routes in this protection
mechanism.
