Statement of Purpose

The study of the English language sparked my interest in the subject and aided my
thinking on its importance in society. When it comes to language, many people don't pause to
think about what they're saying. How? And why is that? When I begin to think about language
and immerse myself in it, I am struck by the intricate details that emerge once you unravel it. I've
always been fascinated by how writers can use their words to influence or even manipulate the
emotions of their readers, as well as their ability to inspire the expansion of our knowledge and
imagination. My interest in English stems from my upbringing as a child, as I have always been
exposed to and surrounded by strong-minded people who have always advised me to express
myself, and I have chosen to do this in the arts of English. As a result, I had my B.A in English at
Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, Nigeria.

I was captivated as a student by the tasks I could execute with my technical knowledge. I
didn't know how important management is to a company's success until much later. When I was
considering my career progression, pursuing more education in a program that would expose me
to the field of business management seemed like a reasonable next step. To enable the proper
execution of plans and the progress of any venture, technical proficiency and management
abilities must work hand in hand. I’ve always admired Marie Forleo, my female business
fantasy. She is a prolific writer and a business and lifestyle specialist. I like her for her
originality, potential, and writing skills. Marie has instilled in me the virtue and skill of being

addition to my career pathway for a tech enthusiast like myself who wants to establish a name in
the industry. Given that I have a core understanding of business, I believe this would be an
excellent opportunity to delve deeper into my area of interest.

Every technological profession needs excellent business management abilities, hence I

chose Master of Business Management as my next study phase. This program will improve my
professional expertise by providing valuable insights into planning, scheduling, executing,
managing, and concluding large-scale projects. Although I have worked with Nikky Best Oil &
Gas Limited, Teju Enterprise, and Crystalife Assurance Company Limited, I have some practical
experience. My responsibilities included identifying, evaluating, and developing new business
opportunities and feasibility reports based on intelligence; monitoring company compliance with
specific business targets; explaining various insurance policies and products to potential and
existing clients; checking insurance claims to solidify trust and protect reputation. I take pride in
my ability to organize and be accountable. It is critical to have a broad and refined international
outlook in the age of globalization.
