Definition

The Institution of Engineers Indonesia or as known as IEI (Persatuan Insinyur Indonesia – PII)

is an engineers organization which was founded in 23rd of May 1952 in Bandung to gather

engineers or engineering graduates throughout Indonesia.

1. The function of PII is as a professional organization that serves as a forum for the gathering of Indonesian
Engineers, to jointly increase their benefits for the nation and state, as well as control, develop and empower
science and technology and competence, for added value to the welfare of mankind in general, especially
the Indonesian people with the main tasks:

Role In The Present
By regulation, the Government has issued Law Number 11 of 2014 about Engineering to provide
legal certainty for engineering practice as well as protection for users and their beneficiaries.

In 2019, President Joko Widodo has also issued Government Regulation (PP) Number 25 of 2019
about Implementing Regulations of Law Number 11 of 2014, which also regulates the
Professional Engineer Program.

Through this Government Regulation, engineers who practice engineering are required to have an
Engineer Competency Certificate from the engineer's professional program and a Registration
Certificate issued by PII. Thus it will guarantee the quality of the work of engineers so that it will
also guarantee the benefit of the community.

PII DKI Jakarta Holds Workshop on Assessor

Activities Certification of Indonesian Engineers Association

The Regional Board of the DKI Jakarta Indonesian

Of IEI Engineers Association (PW PII DKI Jakarta) in

collaboration with the PII Engineer Competency
Certification Institute (LSKI PII) held an Assessor
Certification Workshop (LSA) for the Competency
Test Council (MUK) on 22-23 January 2022. The
workshop participants were 30 people from four
Vocational Fields, there is Civil, Mechanical,
Electrical and Industrial.
