preparation of the Industrial Visit Report which was held on 15 Juni 2022 at PT. Jakarta Industrial Estate
Pulogadung- East Jakarta can be resolved properly.

observations of activities at industrial sites and internet social media.
We realize that there are still many shortcomings in the preparation of this industrial visit report. Therefore,

PRELIMINARY

1.1 Background of Industrial visits

Industrial visit of Yogyakarta State University students is a routine activity that must be followed by
students. This activity is a curriculum demand to equip students with various knowledge about the world of
work or industrial fields so that later they are expected to become professional graduates. To become a
professional graduate, of course, it takes a lot of skills, especially those related to the world of business or
industry.

1.2 Purpose of Industrial Visit

I.1.1 The purpose of the industrial visit to PT. Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung is
1. For Students can see and feel firsthand about all activities and management implemented in the
professional industry, so they can take invaluable experiences and lessons to be implemented at the
University.
2. Motivating and generating high enthusiasm and power for learning, students and lecturers to be willing
and able to continuously improve and develop competencies according to the profession to achieve the best
achievements to achieve the highest possible success in life.
3. Opening horizons of thinking in learning so that by looking at activities in the industry, students are
expected to be able to take positive lessons about how to work and behave as well as work discipline as a
qualified employee after graduation can be immediately absorbed in the world of work
4. You can find an MOU between the University and the Industrial World which includes Industrial Visits,
street vendors and teacher training, obtaining job vacancies information from industry, and getting
assistance with equipment produced in partner industries.

1.3 Benefits of Industrial Visits

1. Benefits for Students

 So that students and lecturers can see and experience directly the activities carried out in the
industrial world that are in accordance with the profession in the field of expertise that the school is
engaged in.
 So that students and lecturers can take valuable lessons from the experience of industrial visits (KI),
so that they can stimulate and inspire enthusiasm for achievement by increasing competence as high
as possible in order to achieve success in life.
 So that students and lecturers can see and feel firsthand, that besides being important to improve
competence according to their profession, it is also very necessary to practice and get used to life

with the provision of attitude skills (high attitude, behavior, and discipline) that must be possessed
by every student. students and lecturers.
2. Benefits for the university

 Establishment of mutually beneficial cooperative relationships between the university and Du/Di
 Developing university programs according to industry needs through curriculum synchronization (in
developing curriculum involving industry), learning processes, teaching factories, and developing
practical facilities and infrastructure based on observations in the industry.
 Strengthening the relationship between lecturers and partner institutions in order to develop more
concrete cooperation up to the MOU level regarding Industrial Visits, Training for Lecturers in
Industry, Job Vacancies Information and the possibility of equipment/component assistance
produced by the industry in the form of equipment grants.

DISCUSSION

2.1 Company Profile

PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung or commonly abbreviated as JIEP, is a company that manages an
industrial area of 500 hectares in Pulogadung, East Jakarta. Until 2022, Danareksa and the Provincial
Government of DKI Jakarta will each hold 50% of the company's shares. PT. Jakarta Industrial Estate
Pulogadung (PT. JIEP) is a developer and manager of an industrial area that was formed on June 26, 1973
to activate the Pulogadung Industrial Estate Project to support the development needs of the industrial
community. The Pulogadung location was chosen because it is strategically located and has adequate access
for transportation and distribution throughout the DKI Jakarta area.

2.2 Description of PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (PT JIEP)

PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (PT JIEP) has various kinds of international standard business
development. There are four main businesses, namely:
1. Property
In the property sector, PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (PT JIEP) has various kinds of business
subsidiaries for example
a. Factory Building
Ready-to-use Multipurpose Factory Buildings (BPSP) are available with a range of selection of, 324 m2
and 840 m2 and 4 storery. he ready-to-use factory is equipped with excellent facilities such as information
center, extensive parking lot, reliable security system, passenger and freight elevator, as well as fiber-optic
network and satellite communication. Supported by solid building management, Ready-to-Use Factory is
the perfect match to achieve your business goals.
b. Batavia Warehouse
‘Batavia Warehouse’ has 2 types of warehouses, the first is Warehouse A with a total area of 2,338.80
square meters with a racking capacity of 2000 PP and Warehouse B which has an area of 1,440.15 square
meters with a racking capacity of 1200 PP. The warehouse developed by PT Jakarta Industrial Estate
Pulogadung on the Pasuruan Industrial Estate Rungkut has the potential to be used in the manufacturing,
distributor, and 3PL industrial sectors. Strategic location, easy accessibility, equipped with super complete
facilities (Loading Dock, Fire Extinguishing System, Office, CCTV, Telephone Line, Clean Water,

Manufacturing is a branch of industry that operates equipment, machinery and labor in a process medium
to process raw materials, spare parts, and other components to be produced into finished goods that have a
selling value.[1] Manufacturing industry activities often use machines, robots, computers, and human
power to produce goods or services and assembly, to produce a product. Manufacturing refers to the large-
scale production of goods by converting raw materials, parts. This term can be used for human activities,
from handicrafts to high-tech production, however, this term is more often used for the industrial world,
where raw materials are converted into finished goods on a large scale.
Manufacturing exists in all areas of the economic system. In a free market economy, manufacturing usually
always means mass production to sell to customers for a profit. Some industries such as semiconductors
and steel use the term fabrication more often than manufacturing. The manufacturing sector is closely
related to engineering or engineering.
Manufacturing techniques are important to humans because the manufacturing industry plays an important
role in efforts to increase the value of investment and exports so that it
becomes a mainstay sector to accelerate national economic growth. Therefore, students must be able to
keep up with the times in the Indonesian industry 4.0 so that they are also ready to enter the era of the
industrial revolution 4.0.
An example of the result of a manufacturing technique that is beneficial to humans is Automotive
Automotive is an industrial manufacturing company in Indonesia as well. This industry is engaged by
utilizing high-level technology to carry out the production process. There are a lot of goods produced from
the automotive industry in Indonesia, goods produced from the automotive industry include motorcycles,
cars, and others.
Electronic
Electronics has similarities with the automotive industry, where electronics industrial manufacturing
companies use high technology in making an item. The results of the production of the electronics industry
are numerous and are very often found and used by the public, for example, such as televisions, computers,
laptops, cellphones, refrigerators, air conditioners, fans, dispensers, electric stoves, and others.

4. various methods of writing academic papers

A. Rational, namely research activities must be carried out sensibly.
B. Empirical, meaning that the steps taken can be observed and felt by the human senses. In other words,
other people can also observe the methods used by the researcher. C. Systematic, namely research that is
carried out using steps that are in accordance with research guidelines.
Based on the method of obtaining data, the types of research methods can be divided into quantitative
research methods and qualitative research methods.
In my opinion, the appropriate research method is empirical because in making academic works we must
be able to feel and observe the object of academic work so that other people and other researchers can
observe and draw conclusions based on what they see. That way observers can conclude from a different
point of view.
5. The definition of some words
A. Grammar is a set of structured rules that govern the arrangement of
sentences, phrases, and words in any language.
B. The term vocabulary (vocabulary) is a collection of several words that are combined, so that they have
meaning or meaning. Vocabulary cannot be separated from the four skills in language, reading, writing,
listening, and speaking (Hornby: 1984: 959).
C. Idioms are a series of words whose meaning cannot be interpreted
literally, but represents a certain expression that is implied in it. For those of you who like to read novels or
readings in English, maybe the term
sounds familiar.
D. Topic is the subject of discussion in a scientific work. In order to be
said to be good, the topic must be able to cover the entire content of the
writing and answer questions on the problems to be discussed. The main characteristic of the topic is that it
is general and has not been described
in detail.
E. practice continuously
That is a method of practice to improve self-ability in learning something. in this method we have to
practice continuously so that we can understand what we are learning. By practicing continuously, we
become capable and competent in what we learn.
