CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION
1.1. FIELD WORK PRACTICAL BACKGROUND
Dual System Education (PSG) is an education delivery model designed to
make it easier for students to achieve skills according to their respective skills
programs. This approach is an effort to adjust the need for employment
opportunities and the supply of labor. In the implementation of Dual System
Education, learning experiences are provided partly in schools and partly in the
business/industrial world.

Dual System Education is a form of providing professional skills education

that systematically and synchronously combines educational programs in schools
and skills mastery programs obtained through direct work activities in the
business/industrial world to obtain certain professional skills, which are called
Field Work Practices (PKL). ). Furthermore, in carrying out practical activities in
industry, students are expected to have a good work ethic, such as; work ability,
work motivation, initiative, creativity, productivity, time discipline and
cooperation.

To detect the development of PSG participating students in industry, tools are
