Mardi Gras (or “Fat Tuesday”) takes place in New Orleans, in the US in February. It starts on Friday and ends on
Tuesday. Every day there are parades, and people wear colorful costumes. On Tuesday there’s a big parade, with
music and people dancing in the street. The parade starts in the morning and finishes at night. After the parade
people meet their friends, and eat and drink. It’s an all-night party!
