Renewing your Aid

The financial aid outlined in your package is for one academic year. With the exception of the university-provided
scholarships, you must apply each academic year to receive financial aid. The retention criteria for university
-provided scholarships are outlined in the General Bulletin (
http://bulletin.case.edu/undergraduatestudies/scholarshipretention/).

Disbursement of Funds

You will have an account for tuition, fees, room and board charges from which you will be billed. Grants,
scholarships and loans are credited to your account at the beginning of each semester to reduce your charges,
provided you have submitted the necessary financial aid documents.

Please note that Federal Work-Study or Campus Employment funds will not be automatically applied to your
student account. These funds are available only as earned, and we advise that you use them for miscellaneous
discretionary expenses throughout the year, including books, supplies, personal expenses and transportation.

Billing and Payment Options

Tuition statements are sent to your CWRU email account prior to the start of each term. Students may designate a
third party, such as a parent or legal guardian, to receive electronic billing notifications through the Student
Information System. Your remaining balance due for each semester is payable at the beginning of each semester.
Alternatively, you may take advantage of a Payment Plan (
https://case.edu/studentaccounts/billing-payments/payment-plans). Please take a moment to review your financial
aid package. You can learn more about financial aid at Case Western Reserve, access our Student Guide to
Financial Aid [pdf] and research additional outside resources available to students and families by visiting
