LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE (LOA)

IMPORTANT: HOW TO ACCEPT THIS LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE (LOA)

It is the responsibility of the student to read and understand the steps in the application and arrival process
as well as all deadlines outlined on the International Student Offer Missing a step or a deadline may result in
loss of admission. To reinstate an offer of admissions will require a review of program availability.

1. ACCEPTANCE AND TUITION PAYMENT:

To hold your accepted seat, payment for tuition must be received before the deadline indicated on your LOA. Full
payment is required by the specified deadline on page three of your LOA. Missing this payment deadline may result
in loss of admission. To know how to make a payment refer to International Student Fees page. It is important that
you understand our Refund and Withdrawal Policy available on the Refund and Withdrawal Policy website. Once
funds are received on your account, an official payment receipt will be received on the application portal

2. APPLY FOR YOUR STUDY PERMIT:

This LOA and tuition receipt will serve as your official documentation when applying for your study visa through
Citizenship and Immigration Canada (www.cic.gc.ca). Please visit the Government of Canada - Citizenship and
Immigration Canada website for more information on Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
estimated study permit processing times for your country.

3. VISA AND PRE-REGISTRATION:

Once you have received notification of your study visa approval, you or your agent must scan and upload a copy of
your approval letter from the Canadian Government (i.e., IRCC) to the documents section of your application on the
Ontariocolleges.ca International Applicant Portal no later than the date outlined on our International Student Offer
page.
If proof of study visa is obtained after the date specified on the website above you will need to contact
InternationalAdmissions@loyalistcollege.com to confirm program availability.

Failure to complete any of these steps by the indicated deadline might result in loss of admissions. Please
note that campus transfers are NOT permitted.

4. REGISTRATION:
Once you have completed all steps above and are pre-registered within the indicated deadline, you will be
automatically registered. This step will mean that you are officially registered a Loyalist College-Port Hope Campus
student.

5. REGISTRATION CHANGES:
Once officially registered, it is a student’s responsibility to adhere deadlines outlined on the Loyalist College –
Academic Calendar.

Refund/Withdrawal Policy: Must be submitted on the IAS Portal by 12 pm EST on

deadline date

6. FUTURE PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY

Your eligibility to a future program does not guarantee your admission. After your arrival, you will be contacted
concerning your future program. Please follow all the steps to confirm your admission.
