Dear Respondents,

The DAE-BSA students at the University of Mindanao are currently

doing a research study called "FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
PRACTICES ON BUSINESS PERFORMANCE OF SMALL AND MEDIUM
ENTERPRISES IN TAGUM CITY."

Financial management plays an essential role in the financial

performance of businesses. It is the discipline of making financial
decisions for long and short-term goals to ensure that the return on
capital exceeds the cost without losing too much money (Robison,
2020). It clarifies practical financial management principles and is
applied in the workplace to adjust to changing business conditions.
Effective management is the key to a company's long-term success
(Admasu, 2021). Because of this, the owners of SMEs should be
open to adopting financial management practices in order to get the
business performance they want (Turyahebwa, 2013).

The study aims to assess how financial management practices affect

entrepreneurs' ability to achieve their financial goals while running a
business. This study will analyze the impact of financial practices
that owners use on economic performance and how they allocate
their income to achieve financial goals. Considering that money is an
essential commodity that helps people run their lives,
Rationale
The instrument applied in this study was questionnaires that were
adopted in the study of Muguchia, 2018 and modified to assess the
impact of financial management practices on the business
performance of SME’s in Tagum City. The said questionnaires were
made valid and clear so that the people who filled them out could
understand them and answer them easily.

In line with that, to be able to move on to the next phase – the data
gathering – the researchers would like to ask your permission to
participate in answering the survey form. Rest assured that all the
information you indicate in the survey will be treated with the utmost
confidentiality.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Respectfully Yours,

LLIANA FAYE C.
FLORES LOREN MAE D.
