Law, the remover of the shadows of darkness, the religion, the Prophet of mercy, and the lone the Umnu on the Day of Resurrection~ the Dan voices will be subdued and eyes will he the victor of “SS0r of yon fae © Allah, send prayers and peace upon our may, Prophet Muhammad, the brillant light, the lone splendor, the possessor of the secret ofthe Torsh ans and the essence of the Gospel of ‘Isa (may Allah His prayers and peace upon him and them’), the ot of the starless celestial sphere in the inner recesses of) wasa hidden treasure ad desied tobe known: sah handsome light of the Holy Spirit in the manifestaron's “therefore {created creatures and made Myself banc them, so through Me they came to know Me” [Hes] yc sweetness ofthe eye of certitude and the mitror of thoes endowed with high resolve among the Emissaries by whe they witness the Manifest and True King [He is} tel of the lights of the sights of the ennobled Prophets tke locus of Your vision, the expansiveness of Your mete, to the worlds of the first and the last~may Allah Most High send prayers upon him and his brethren among the Prophets and Emissaries, and upon his Family nd Companions, fine and pure! O Allah, grant prayers and peace, and triumph and success, and perfection and completion, and purification and supreme gain, and complete fulfillment and fortune. through the most superior of benedictions and the most abundant of favors and salutations upon Your servant and Prophet and Messenger-—with a prayer and greeting that constantly descend from the horizon of the innermost reality of the divine essence to the celestial sphere ofthe ‘manifestations of the names and the attributes, and which ascend to the presence of the Lote-tree of the Furthest Boundary of the gnostics, to the center of the majesty of 0 upon our master and patron Muhammad, a ea we Your Prophet and Your Messenger. You ough whom the lordly scholars have certainty th neg (imal ya), the one through whom the tho ded Caliphs have certainty through perception Pt ag) andthe one though whom the ennobled Frees have certainey through self-realization (haga ophet one who wandered in the lights of his majesty, ee Envoys endowed with firm resolve; and he whose otis let the mighty angels bewildered and perplexed srohim was revealed in the Tremendous Quran ina clear ree diction: € Ala hacen shown gc 1th belies by irfthem Nesom ion, wre them yer vate end nat thom inh Scriparad the Wd though fore that they were in ans error» (3164) (0 Allah, send prayers and peace of Your Essence upon the peesence of Your attributes [the Prophet], who gathers every quality of perfection, who is described by the Sttributes of majesty and beauty, and who is transcendent beyond peers among creation— [he who is] the well-spring of lordly gnostic sciences and the provident care of divine secrets, the ultimate aim of the petitioners and the proof for every bewildered spiritual traveller, [he is] Muhammad the praiseworthy in his attributes and essence, and Ahmad the most active in praise among those who have preceded and those yet to come. Grant him abundant peace from the beginning of the frst to the farthest reach of eternity so that there may be no number to count it and no duration in time to end it. And be pleased with his followers in the Shariah, the Spiritual Path (Targa), and the Ultimate Reality (1agiga), among the Companions, the scholars, and the people of the Spiritual Path—and make us, O Patron, among them in reality, amin a© Allah, send prayers and peace upon our master ‘Muhammad and upon the Family of our master Muhammad the opening ofthe doors to Your Preven the ewence of Your solcitude for Your ereation yan ‘Mestenger ro Your jinn and humans, the one who i” unique in his essence and to whom the clear verses wre rcvesed [he whos] the pardoner of lapses, the chit y ‘masters the abliterator of polytheism and misguidan with the sharp-edged swords, the enjoiner of good and forbidder of evils; [he who is] inebriated by the drink of direct witnessing —our master Muhammad, the best. cf ‘creation, may Allah send prayers and peace upon hint O Allah, send prayers and peace upon he who possesses pleasant character, well-pleasing qualities, statements congruent with sacred law, spiritual states reflective of the Ultimate Reality, pre-eternal solicitudes, eternal felicities, Meccan Openings, Medinan Manifestations, Divine perfections, Lordly features of prominence, ani the secret of creation—[he who is] our intercessor on the Day of our resurrection and the one who seeks forgiveness for usin the presence of our Lord: he who invites to You, who is emulated by the one who desires to arrive unto You, and who is intimate with you and estranged from “other than You,” so that he took delight in the light of Your Essence and returned through You, and not through any other besides You, and witnessed Your oneness in Your multiplicity, and You spoke to him with Your theophanic expression and strengthened him with Your perfection: {0 proclaim openly wha you ae commanded and trans ‘from the idl worshippers (15:94) [Hie is] the one who invokes You in the night, fasts for Your sake in Your day. and is known to Your angels as the best of Your creation © Allah, we seek a means of approach unto You through the letter embracing the meanings of Your perfection'*— 232 uby You o show us the face of our Prophet &, "face from us the existence of our sins by the direct ing of Your beauty, and to make us absent from our Fito by beingin the scas of Your lights preserved an worldly preoccupations and yearning for You and Ama [from al others} through You. © He! O Alla He! O Allah! © He! O Allah! There is no god besides et Give us from the drink of Your love and plunge ds unto the seas of Your Absolute Oneness so that we revel in the delight of Your Presence, and so that You, fy Your grace and mercy, remove from us the illusions (Cohan) of Your creation. Enlighten us with the light of Mrdience to You and guide us and do not lead us astray. Rane us keen awareness of our own faults, away from the faults of others~by the right of our Prophet and master Muhammad, may Allah send prayers and peace upon him and his Family and Companions, the lamps of existence and the people of witnessing, © Most Merciful of the Merciful, we ask You to joins us with them and to gift us with their love—O Allah! © Living! O Self-subsistent! (© Possessor of Majesty and Honor! (0 our Lor, cep “fiom indeed You are he A Hearing the All Knowing And rar 0 sin repentance You alone arth Releting th Compassionate. (2127-128) And grant us a beneficial gnosis, indeed You have power over all things. © Lord of the Worlds, O Most Merciful of the Merciful! We ask You to provide us a vision ofthe face of our Prophet in our sleep and in our wakefulness, and we ask You to send upon him a prayer and peace that last until the Day of Judgment, and we ask ‘You to bless the best of us and to be for us, we ask ¥ © Allah, make the best of Your prayers, Your most expansive blessings, and the purest of Your benedictions in virtue and number, always and forever upon the noblest of the creation from mankind and jinn—the gathering point 2B
