CROSSOVER?

BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS


Text: JOSHUA 1:9

“Have I not commanded you? Be STRONG and COURAGEOUS. Do not be terrified; do not be
discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

INTRODUCTIONS

Have you ever been crossed a river? Is it easy or difficult?

Life is full of rivers that we can’t overcome. Yet God has given us a command to be strong and
courageous because He knows that we can do it for the glory of His name.

We need to leave things for us to see what God has planned for us in the future.

Nobody wants to be stuck in our old self.

DEFINITIONS

CROSSOVER

A CHANGE from one style or type of activity to another.

STRENGTH

Quality or state of being STRONG.

Quality that allows someone to deal with problems in a determined and effective way.

COURAGE

The ability to do something that you know is DIFFICULT or DANGEROUS

THINGS WE NEED TO CROSSOVER

Things we need to leave behind for us to start moving to our destiny. For us to walk in God’s
plan.

1. PERSPECTIVE

>it’s how we see things

>if you see that you are weak, then you are weak. If you see that you are a conqueror, then you
are a conqueror.

a) Negative perspective - we see all things bad, hard, difficult, boring, non-sense etc.

b) Positive perspective - we see things in a more positive ways.


>the devil will always put negative perspective in our mind to make us feel that we can’t do
anything, inferior and weak.

>it’s a matter of choice. Do not let the devil deceive you. For it is written that if God is for us then
who can be against us.

2. DOUBT

>uncertainty

>can I really do these things? Am I capable enough?

>how to overcome doubtful mind?

a) Always trust in the Lord for He knows what is best for us.

b) Find a companion that will encourage you and help you to strengthens your faith.

3. HALF-HEARTED

>thing we really like but we don’t like

Ex.

We really like to have good grades but we don’t like to study.

We really like to have promotions but we don’t like to work.

We really like to grow in faith but we don’t like to attend to church.

>how can we crossover to see what God has planned for us if we don’t like to up your own
plan?

>let God be the focus of your faith.

4. FEAR

>do you know that fear is not from God? Then why do you have fear in you?

>God has never called us to live in fear.

>it has no control over our lives.

>fear can make us stoppable. Faith can make us unstoppable

>all people have fears. We just have to push away every fear by our faith

REALIZATION

I WILL FEAR GOD MORE THAN MY CIRCUMSTANCES

I WILL BELIVE GOD MORE THAN MYVISION
