Hi Marc,
How is It going?
Sorry, I haven’t been in touch for such a long time, but I’ve
had an exam, so you can guess where my time was spent.
Anyway, I’m talking to you to tell you about my trip to
Beirut.
It was a Sunday morning when my father had the idea
of going on a trip. We argued a bit about whether to go to
Tripoli or Beirut, but in the end, Beirut it was. We hopped
into the car and drove several hours south.
 When we arrived there, I was surprised by the number
of tall buildings and skyscrapers. Anyway, our first
destination was “City Mall”. Once inside, I couldn’t believe
how huge it was, it had five floors and it was extremely
vast. The thing that caught my eye there the most was
definitely the “Lego Mega Store”, as it had many rare Lego
collection sets and ones that I’ve never seen before.
Although I seriously wanted to buy that Star Wars Lego set,
unfortunately, it was very expensive, thus my parents didn’t
agree to its purchase.
Secondly, we went on to visit a restaurant called
"Domino’s". It’s actually a fairly popular pizza restaurant
here and abroad. As we sat, the waitress came over and
took our order, she was very kind, to say the least, she even
had my brother’s plate replaced when he dropped some
juice on it. Moreover, when the pizza arrived, its scent was
fantastic that I barely could hold me from starting to dig in
before the rest, but gladly I was able to turn back to my
senses before that happened. Not to say, the pizza was
amazing, and I can confidently rank it as the best one I had
in my life. Too sad that we don’t have it in our area.
A few hours later, we stopped at cinema planet to
watch a movie. Upon our entry, we were greeted with the
most delicious sweets, though my mother refused to buy us
some as they were multiple times more expensive than
what they go for on the market, however, we managed to
convince her to buy us popcorn. Then, we entered the
movie theater: it was enormous! Gladly, there weren’t
many people there, or I think I wouldn’t have been so
comfortable watching the movies with all those people
beside me.
Finally, the sun began to dive into the horizon, and the
movie had finished, so it was time to go home. This was
one of the most memorable days of my life, and I’m glad I
had the chance to visit this amazing city.
