The success attained by some countries in the south is attributed to their sound

macroeconomic policies that have resulted in limited deficits as well as low debts. Some of

these countries are known to have high saving rates, while others have embarked on huge

investments which have stabilized their economies. Success in some countries is attributed to

the high investment in the education sector, reduced taxation of basic needs, and extensive

promotion of their exports. The authoritative leadership, as well as technocratic service, are

other factors leading to the success of some countries in the south (Osiobe, 2019). Illiteracy

due to reduced access to education is attributed to increased poverty levels in the south.

Inequalities in terms of the rich and poor people are also attributed to the slow growth that

has been reported in some countries.

The use of different meanings of the words used in the Global North and Global South

make some words to be antiquated such that they tend to be misleading to some extent. The

term ‘economic’ has a different interpretation when it is interchangeably used in these two

regions. The term can refer to the financial aspect of a region, while it can also be used to

refer to the investment done in a particular region. Although there is a difference in the way

certain words are used, the observed differences are not major and hard to notice at times.

There seems to be a harmonized contextualization of scripture such that the meaning of the

words used in the two regions generates the meaning. The harmonization of the scripture is

meant to ensure that the same meaning is conveyed to believers regardless of their location.
