ANTIBIOTICS

MAGNEX:
 Cefoperazone + sulbactam.

CEFOPERAZONE:

 Bactericidal antibiotics.
 Inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis of actively dividing cells by
binding one or more penicillin binding proteins (PBPs ).

SULBACTAM:
 Beta lactamase inhibitor.

AUGMENTIN

 Amoxicillin +clavulanants potassium.


 Beta lactamase resistant.
 Antimicrobial.

( staph aureus, negative staphylococcus species, E. coli, proteous


mirabilis, klebscilla pneumonia, proteous vulgaris, H.influenza,
mycobacteria like mycobacterium tuberculoses)

AMIKACIN

 Anti bacterial.
 Against gram –ve and gram +ve .
 Bactericidal action by inhibiting protein synthesis.

OFLOX

 Fluroquinolone which inhibits the enzyme DNA gyrase.

Indication – susceptible infections, chlamydial infections, gonorrhoea,


nongonococcal urethritis.
