Chess tactics – Trapping

Tactics has two parts -

a. Making a piece immobile

b. Going and killing it

Once you spot an immobile piece it should become a target for attack.

Generally, making a piece immobile is done by one of your piece whereas

another piece of yours goes for killing.

At times, your first piece can make opponent’s piece partially immobile but the
second piece that comes for killing blocks the open exits. And in this way you
can kill the opponent’s piece.
